Connecting PIR Sensor to SK40C and Siemens TC35 GSM

Postby Ameen » Thu Feb 21, 2013 1:40 am

hi,
i need to ask how the connection between PIR sensor and SK40C and Siemens TC35 GSM developement board?
is the connection still the same with SK28A board(smart intruder project)?

The SK28A has 3port if im not mistaken..while SK40C has 4port...so if i want to connect 4 PIR sensor..i just pin it to each port A,B,C,D right?

The source code for SK28A can just be copy to SK40A but with few changes and additional command correct?
Is there any mistake with my explaination? Thank you very much...

Can anyone help me how to setup the GSM step by step?
what i understand, first step is:
1. insert a SIM card
2. connect the GSM adapter power 12V 2A
3. connect the GSM with UART RS232 converter and UC00A for USB port connection
4. installed the Hyper Terminal, (i am using X-CTU installer from cytron website)
However the interface is different from the tutorial, can anyone guide me using picture if possible how to configure the setting..
5.After power up the GSM module, suppose the X-CTU will detect the GSM, but the opposite happen..
Tqvm to those who helping me..

Try send 'AT' command and Enter. If connection right and select right COM, it should give 'OK'
See example GSM response here using PIC and chipKIT.

The GSM blinking just as expected showing its working with the SIM card inserted, however cannot be detect by my laptop..
Do i need to installed some other software? or i need to use a desktop with RS232 port(difficult to find actually..)?
Pls any advice?tqvm
