Interfacing IFC-BH02 with Planetary DC Gear Motor

Postby pradeep20 » Wed Apr 10, 2013 7:18 am

Hey Guys,

wish to ask, how am I supposed to interface the Planetary motor with the IFC
dual brush card and still maintain the bidirectional characteristic of the planetary motor encoder?
When i check the dual brush card, there is only 3 pins for encoders( for each port), that is 2 for Vcc and
Ground and the other for Signal, whereas the planetary motor has two signal wires
( channel A and Channel B). The data sheet says that if Ch A lead Ch B, its increasing and
likewise. Hope someone can be kind enough to shed some light onto this topic for me.

Thank You :)

I never use IFC, I know is from Cytron, but I do not need it

Anyway, can you show the link of the product so other can get it easily?

Looking at the layout and schematic of BH02, it only take 1 input for encoder, I don think it can support 2 channels encoder which is needed for you to know direction.

But you control the motor, so you should know the direction, the encoder can provide rotation.
