1. What is SK40B? Or SK18B?
SK40B/SK18B is a start-up kit for 40/18 pins PIC (only PIC microcontroller) respectively. So what is a start-up kit? It is a board that contain minimum and common component for user to start in using PIC microcontroller.

2. What are the components on SK40B?
SK40B come with 5V regulator, header and turn pin that enable you to develop project, DC socket for power input, Box header for UIC00A USB programmer, 20MHz Crystal, DB9, RS232 hardware, 1 reset button, 1 programmable button. You can start right away, just plug in correct 40 pin PIC and you are good to go.

3. What are the components on SK18B?
SK18B come with 5V regulator, header and turn pin that enable you to develop project, DC socket for power input, Box header for UIC00A USB programmer, 20MHz Crystal, UART connector for UC00A, 1 reset button, 2 LEDs. You can start right away, just plug in correct 18 pin PIC and you are good to go.

4. How can I program SK40B/SK18B?
Both this start-up kit can be program through UIC00A, and the program can be load while the PIC is on the board itself. No plug out and plug in needed.

5. Can I use Bootloader on SK40B or SK18B?
You can apply Bootloader on SK40B (UART, Not USB Bootloader) since it come with RS232 and DB9. However, you will need to study the Bootloader firmware and software yourself. There are many type of Bootloader. While SK18B also can support Bootloader, but it does not come with RS232 and DB9, you need to add those if you like to use RS232 Bootloader.

6. Which model of PIC does SK40B support?
Mid-Range PIC and PIC18 family such as PIC16F877A, PIC16F887, PIC16F874A...... and many more, as long as it is 8-bit microcontroller, 40 pin and 5V powered.

7. Which model of PIC does SK18B support?
Mid-Range PIC and PIC18 family such as PIC16F84A, PIC16F818, PIC16F628A...... and many more, as long as it is 8-bit microcontroller, 18 pin and 5V powered.

8. Can SK40B support other pins of PIC Microcontroller?
No, SK40B is design for 8-bit (Mid-Range and PIC18) 40 pin PIC, and 5V powered.
