hi,

those 2 error most probably is caused by the connection on the programming pins.

is the pins share with any components?

what is the PIC u are using?

or try to set Tools--> use Vpp first Program entry.

Is it possible to show us ur connection? Take a photo...showing clearly the connections from UIC00A to your PIC. Otherwise, it's very hard for is to imagine what's going on there. Thanks!

Most probably your UIC00A is damaged. Check the Vpp. Should be around 13V

Without any target, try pickit 2 troubleshooting, that will comfirm either you connnect wrongly or UIC00A is damaged :)

I just tried mine. Need a voltmeter and a logic probe to measure the PGC and PGD for clock and data. Very helpful diagnostics.

Thanks Zhenning.
