hey guys I'm new here and I have a question to ask. Do we need a motor for every single motion of a robot? like 2 motor for left n right arms n 1 motor for tyre motion???
thx for replying

I think so, but I think you should put it as actuator instead of motor. You will need actuator to drive let's say a mechanism to move. Of course you might see some complex mechanism uses 1 to 2 actuators only, but you need to design the gearing and linkage mechanism to combine and utilize the actuator. If you are thinking about simple and straight forward design, the answer should be yes.
