C36s servo motor is modified as a dc motor, so can microcontroller control the speed of the servo motor?? coz my FYP is about control home devices, so can i use servo motor as a fan examples to control on/off and the speed fast or slow?? any IC needed to do that?? programming using what method to do it?

C36S is NOT a modified servo, it is a standand RC servo. Those that being modified, is labelled as C36S (360 degree).

Please refer to PR23 which uses the modified servo.

Are you referring to the modified C36S servo motor (360 Degree)? This motor act as an ordinary DC Motor, which you can use a motor driver like L293 to control it. The sample application is shown in PR23

To control DC Motor, you can use IC L293 or L298.
Controlling this: Forward, Reverse, Stop and Speed. Example program http://shahrulnizam.com/pic-lesson-dc-motor/
