DC Motor Selection

Postby ELMS » Tue Oct 04, 2011 1:03 pm

Hello. I would like to ask about the selection of DC Motor.
Which one is better? The one with low or high no load speed?
Notes: The starting torque for our system is 700Nm/ 0.7mNm

We want to buy a Dc Motor but we're not sure which is suitable for our system.
Can we buy Dc motor with 8.4mNm ? The higher the torque is better or what?
Thanks a lot :)

8.4mNm > 0.7mNm, should be no problem :P . In most cases, we will choose high torque and high speed motor if size and current consumption are not your concern.
