stepper motor connection using PIC

Postby nicgoh » Wed Mar 13, 2013 2:13 pm

Hi all! good day!

i have bought a stepper from cytron 42BYGHD-234.. and i am quite new to this field.. i have generated the hex file using flowcode and it was working well in the simulation..

but the problem is i dunno what is the connection arrangement of the stepper to my pic and to power supply..

it comes with red, yellow, black, white, green, blue.. 6lead wires.. according to the flowcode.. 4wires are connected to 4ports of my pic.. but again.. i dunno how to connect to my pic.. which colour to which port.. which colour to the power supply?

i have gone through cytron website.. and they didnt provide me a proper data sheet with wiring connection to pic..

FYI, i am using PIC18F4550.. thanks guys...

appreciate of you guys can help me.. ;)

For your information, all the wires come out from the stepper motor are connected directly to the coil of the motor, but not the signal. Normally, the coil consumes high current and voltage which PIC can't drive it directly. You may need a stepper motor driver, SD02 between stepper motor and your PIC http://www.cytron.com.my/viewProduct.php?pcode=SD02B&name=Enhanced%202A%20Stepper%20Motor%20Driver
