Choosing motor for 1 DOF robot arm

Postby sue » Fri Mar 22, 2013 11:02 pm

Hello everybody ....

i need some advice/opinion ...
if i want to build a one degree of freedom robot arm , what kind of motor that you could propose me to buy ...
Actually , i'm building a robot arm designing a controller based on simulink/mathlab for controlling the robot arm position ...
so , is it okay for me to buy DC Geared Motor with Encoder or JR servo motor for my project ....
And is it come with the driver ??

(Note : i'm not using PIC for my project )

Thank u ...

Just found the tutorial that helps you determine the torque of the motor.
