MD10C DC motor Driver capable of higher current?

Postby bluerainsun » Mon Jul 22, 2013 2:02 pm

Hi

I just purchased a MD10C and it works straight out from the box. I hook up to a DC Wiper motor without any load. And start up current is recorded around 6Amp and noload is around 2A.
I notice that NMOS that forms the h-Bridge is capable of up to 50A continuous at 100C from NCE3080K datasheet.
Is it possible to for MD10C to go beyond 13A continuous ? I.e 20Amp continuous if add on adequate heatsink or thicker cooper trace?
What is limiting the NMOS from going higher current in MD10C design? One of the demo on MD10C shows 30Amp at 5seconds. It looks possible but would like to get Cytron expert opinions.

Thanks
