how to control linear actuator

Postby garysoh » Fri Sep 13, 2013 5:13 pm

I am planning to buy this linear actuatorLinear Actuator(MO-HTA1800-200) for my project, but i am concerned with how I can control the unit as I cant find any document about it.

http://www.cytron.com.my/viewProduct.ph ... 20Actuator

As it has a stepper motor, does it have 4 cores? Can I control how many revolution or steps on the motor? Can I hold the shaft at certain length after I "ordered" the motor to rotate for certain revolutions?

The linear motor consist of a DC motor with gear, it is not stepper motor. There is no encoder feedback.

You can use any motor driver that support >3A such as MD10C to drive it.
