This preset has 3 pin and may i know which pin is connect to ground and which pin is for the lcd (example of diy project PR8).

You may connect any of the pin on the sides to GND. Only thing is that when thing was adjusted with clockwise now becomes anti-clockwise. Another thing is the orintation for adjusting contrast with screw driver. Is the screw driver blocked by anything when adjusting.
