Did you solder pin header to LCD or just put it into the hole?

if u dont solder the header pin to LCD pad, it is not properly connected. the signal might lose and cause the LCD not properly initialized.
before you proceed, you must solder the header pin to the LCD to give good connection between LCD and the header.
