Need help for choosing sensor for my robot(Basic Atom Pro28)

The combo kit comes with the SSC-32, Bot Board, and BASIC Atom Pro 28.

i need to buy sensor and put it on my robot so that it can avoid object when it is moving forward or backward.

i need someone who is familiar with SSC-32, Bot Board, and BASIC Atom Pro 28.
beside choosing a sensor, i also may need help about wiring and programming part.

I am not familiar with BASIC and other device that you stated, but I assume you should be able to get sample code to get started right?
