Setting up the oscilloscope to read accelerometer output

Postby dareck322 » Sat May 29, 2010 12:03 pm

Hi there. Does anyone know how to set up the oscilloscope to read the output from the ADXL335 accelerometer? I've been trying to get the following output reading format shown here:

Thanks in advance for any help given =)

At the moment, I've only been able to see the level changes of the accelerometer due to tilting. Example: a roll to the left in the Y-axis would provide an approx. 1.2V output.

And I would only be able to see the whole level of the voltage move upwards or downward due to left and right motions in the Y-axis. I am unable to produce a sort of sine wave-like output as shown in the youtube link

Increase the time scale of your oscilloscope to around 0.5 - 1 second.
