i want to build laser distance measurement with CX 493 laser component, but how can i do it if it need the reflector to operate? is there any product suggestion that can replace CX 493?

the CX 422 can only reach 800mm in the datasheet given.. but the CX 493 can reach 5m.. ibut the problem of the CX 493 is that it need reflector to operate.. i thought that the CX 493 can reflect at any surfaces without the reflector..

What is the longest distance you need? 1 to 2 meter is still possible without reflector. Of course it is not the same model, should be bigger size as the power to transmit is much higher, and much more expensive.

owh.. i just want a laser sensor that can go until 5 meter or more. but if 1 or 2 meter, i think i can give a try to the product.. so what is the product you suggest? cx422 of cx493? an what i need to make it functional? which mean any power supply or cable?

but is there anyone know how much is the price for cx493? just asking for information
