Doubt about Medium range Infrared Sensor

Postby william82 » Wed Nov 24, 2010 4:53 am

Hi there,

Hope somebody will help on me. :D

Hi there,

I am interested the output signal on this sensor. If there is an obstacle(object) in front,is the sensor will go to permanently low? or it will act like movement sensor, go low for a while and go to high again then do the second round detection

and

how the sensors work? since there is 2 IR sensors, the output will goto low as long as one of Receiver receive the signal from one of the IR sensors, or it needs to receiver 2 signal from the IR sensors.

many thanks

hi,

the sensor will output as long as it detects obstacle in front of it.
there are 2 IR transmitting diodes on both side of IR receiver.any reflection of the IR rays into the sensor will cause the sensor to detect as obstacle.
its simple as nice to use sensor, since it has a preset to adjust the sensing threshold. very reliable too :)
