IR sense finger gesture

is the ir transmitter SN-IR-T and receiver SN-IR-R have enough sensitivity to sense my finger gesture? if not, any other higher sensitivity IR sensor recommended?

how the gesture detection u wanted?
or just obstacle detecting? wave the hand infront the sensor then detect the reflected IR?

what i want to do is virtual keyboard. can be said obstacle detector either. i google about it, most of the project is tracker, can i use the same concept to mine?

not so clear how the virtual keyboard u wanted to build. i saw people using touchlib to build.

When the sensor trigger, increase the counter.
