Anyone has any project idea on a mini project using sensors?

DEAR peeps,
Anyone has any idea on a mini project using sensors and actuators(LEDs,LCDs)...thx in advance :)
Any help will be much appreciated...:)

Input sensor and output LCD. You can just read sensor and display the value. If the sensor is distance, then display the distance value. You can try IR Sensor, analog distance sensor, Ultrasonic Range Finder.
