I want to use LM35 to measure the temperature of liquid, but I have to shield it up so that the liquid does not short the terminal, but I have no idea how to shield it?? Is it shield the pin with tape or something?? I have no idea.

Is the liquid you're taking temperature corrosive? If the answer is positive, then I would solder 2 wires to the LM35 and insert the whole thing in a glass tube. The tip of the glass tube can be sealed with epoxy that you can buy from hardware stores or supermarkets.

Yup, check the liquid whether is corrosive or not. If it is not, can simply use glue-gun and shield it up, of course after you solder and test it. But the glue is heat isolator, so not good! 8-)

Maybe can try shrinking tube with one of the end shield with glue-gun.

Then how about the DC water pump that I want to control it by relay? Can i do the same thing to shield the connection between the relay with the water pump under water?

If the water pump is designed for aquarium use it should be water-proof. The connectors can be put inside heat shrink tubbing and shrink with a hair dryer. If for long term use, the connections should be checked regularly for rusty contacts in case water seeps through the heat shrink tubes.

I see. Then if I use glue gun to shield the connector, is it okay?
