Sensor to detect the presence of water

Hi,

I would like to know what is the best sensor can be use to detect the presence of the water? Once the water is gone, it will be cut off the power.

How the condition of the water? In the tank or in the floor? If in the tank, maybe consider the level. In the floor it's harder, maybe try sense the humidity.

No, I just want to sense the presence of the water only.
