IR Tansmitter

I'm already buy your product "IR Tansmitter and Tx Tansmitter".I install the sensor in the pipe and want to detect any obstacle or not. However, when I install and want to get the result, the sensor can not read the next signal (Tx and Rx). It just read signal between Tx and Rx face (Tx face to Rc). I would like to ask, what is wavelength = 940nm? in http://www.cytron.com.my/viewProduct.ph ... Tansmitter and what difference wavelength and Angle of Half Sensitivity?
