Fingerprint Reader SM630 vs Fingerprint Reader UART

I'm interfacing Fingerprint Reader SM630. Before this I have successful interface Fingerprint Reader UART.

First I'm trying with ChipKIT MAX32, I like this because it have more than 1 UART. So, easy to me interfacing and do serial monitor.

I refer to Cytron Tutorial, I only need to test the protocol. The baudrate is right 57600.

But the Fingerprint Reader SM630 reply "00 00"

What do you think the problem?
Maybe cause chipKIT signal level is 3.3V, fingerprint reader SM630 is 5V. But, fingerprint reader UART is no problem in this way.

I interface with PIC16 still Fingerprint Reader SM630 not response.
