Multiple Ultrasonic Ranging Module SN-HC-SR04

Postby darkconvoy » Wed Mar 19, 2014 2:56 am

I was wondering since I will be using multiple Ultrasonic Ranging Module SN-HC-SR04, can multiple sensor TRIG pin be connected to a single port at the Arduino? I wish to save some ports for other connections...

That should be possible. Try it out.

Because I will need to use about 10 of those sensors, I am not sure if the voltage is enough to support all of them though....

hi, i am thinking whether the echo from each sensor will confused each other if u trigger all at a same time unless all sensor are facing different direction and wont affect each other.
the trigger pin will not consume too much current. if it really not enough u can use a BJT transistor to drive all the 10 sensor.
thanks&regards,
