Hi,

I already bought an Inductive Proximity Sensor M18 from cytron which is i supply the voltage 24v from Switching Power Supply 24V 4.5A.
My question is how to connect it with Arduino uno analog pin?
Need some circuitry advice from anyone who's expert on this..

fyi:
i am new in electronic field(i am mechanical background)..hope anyone could help me not to destroy my arduino uno
i already try to research but i cannot understand..many advice that i found to apply pull-up resistor/voltage divider and etc..

Hi,

You can refer to this photo as a reference for you to connect the sensor to Arduino board. Yes it is true that you need to put pull-up resistor.

Top pin (Brown = "+") - Connect it to your power supply (24V switching PS)
Middle pin (Black= "Analog pin")- connect to pull up resistor (eg: 1k ohm) then to 5V Arduino pin
Bottom pin (Blue =GND)- connect to GND pin
