Can this circuit works?

Is the LDR compatible with the cytron's LDR? And which LED should I use? And about R3, it mentioned 1k-4.7k, that means it is variable resistor? Which component is it?

Hi raymondfoo,

To know whether the circuit is working or not, you need to try it first. :)

Yes it is compatible.

raymondfoo WROTE:And which LED should I use?

You can use any normal LED: Green LED, Red LED or Yellow LED.

raymondfoo WROTE:And about R3, it mentioned 1k-4.7k, that means it is variable resistor? Which component is it?

It can be fix (any value from 1k to 4.7k) or variable. This resistance will effect the LDR sensitivity.

Thanks.
