hi,

if u are using xbee module. SKxbee is good. it has the usb connection for the computer.

Can we use computer to control the ZigBee modules? eg, sending/receiving the responses, receiving the obstacles distance...

Basically the sample program is any program that can send and receive data via COM port if it is connected to computer. VB can do that, C# can do that, Labview can do that, I think many computer program can do that.

You need to understand, what are you going to use? XBee or Zigbee? Module or ready made board that can connect to computer? It seem you are circling and not yet to try anything, you need to get yourself a hardware, try connect to computer and transmit it. Conclusion, get your hand dirty.
