SC08A damage??

Postby mohamad » Thu Nov 15, 2012 2:01 pm

i have a question...is it possible the servo controller SC08A is damage or burn? when i connect it to only 1 servo, it perfectly work...but when i connect it to more than 1 servo, the power indicator at SC08A not ON...is there a effect when i using jumper wire female to female to connect the UART between SK40C and SC08A? fyi, i have buy 2units SC08A...

p/s: in datasheet SC08A, it show to use rainbow wire right?need help, thanx a lot

The small servo controller from Cytron? I don have one, but seem to be very small :)

Not really study the material on SC08, anyway, where is the power to servo from?

yes, all product from ctryon, SK40C, SC08A, servo motor C36R and C40R, jumper wire female to female...

power sources from power supply AC to SK40C, for SC08A 4 battery AA should be 6V

If you connect 1 servo back after connecting 2 servos, is it still working? You might want to try to power the servo off regulated 6V supply.

no, after i connect more servo, power indicator for UART not ON...i tried already connect it to one servo, it not ON also...is it SC08A damage?

Did you try other power source? It maybe your battery has no more juice.

How about the power LED on SK40C? Since you say the power for SC08 is from SK40C, so if SC08 short, SK40C should be shorted too.

no, the power indicator for SC08A is ok, LED ON, but the indicator for UART (green LED, connect to SK40C) is not ON...so, i guess the problem is at UART connection..

LED on SK40C is ON...i've checked the voltage at SK40C UART, it's almost 5V...but UART at SC08A is almost zero...

exactly like datasheet, the different is i only use wire jumper to connect between SK40C and SC08A...in datasheet use rainbow wire right...is it affect the SC08A?
