RF Module and USB to Serial converter

Hi all,

I plan to doing a messaging application that using 433Mhz RF transmitter and receiver between two PC.
I am thinking to connect the RF module to USB to serial converter.
Here, is it work to connect RF module with USB to serial converter?
I will program an application for user to enter message, the message will encryption and send to USB COM Port and transfer to RF module for transmission to another PC. But is it ok with my planning?

p/s: need to confirm it so that i can proceed to other method if it can' t work. Is out of time now..LOL

Use Low Cost RF Module have many noise in the signal. So, you need spend more time to do programming for filtering the data.
For easier, spend more money to use XBee.
