pr 13 (smoke detector)

can any help my problem..
the project kit which is pr 13 cannot operate very well. the problem is when the smoke detector start ringing, the remote control cannot detector signal from smoke detector for mode 1,2,3....did the receiver did not receive a signal?? or the transmitter are broken...and how to manually operate this remote??

Capture few photos of your circuit may help.
BTW please check with the soldering of your board.

i use the circuit that given by the package...before the i already on the breadboard...it totally not function at all...but after i solder the component at pcb on the mod button work...such as when press mod 1 button the led on...i did not modified the circuit at all...
