Disadvantages of 434MHz RF Transceiver Module (UART)-100m?

Postby Lowhim Intelligence » Sun Sep 28, 2014 10:49 am

Hello, I would like to know what is the disadvantage of this 434MHz RF Transceiver Module (UART)-100m.

1.If somebody else is using the same RF transceiver module, could that guy disturb my RF wireless communication?
2.Does this 434MHz RF Transceiver Module (UART)-100m is under same class with Bluetooth IEEE802.15.1, sound, sonic wave or visible radiation?
3.Does 434MHz RF Transceiver Module (UART)-100m work with android Samsung Galaxy note?
4.Does the noise rate of 434MHz RF Transceiver Module (UART)-100m can be considered as good?

I hope all taiko taiko could help :D

Regards.

As I know, big different with XBee is
RF Transceiver can't set ID, XBee can set ID.
So, if other project use RF Transceiver would be interrupt your RF Transceiver signal.
If use XBee, other project might be different ID and not interrupt your project.

1. Yes, but you can actually set address and channel for this wireless module, do check the User's Manual, under AT command.
2. Nop, they are using different protocol, it falls under Radio Frequency, RF.
3. Nop, Android phone or any smart as I know does not have this transceiver. There are many type of wireless technology and not all technology being embedded in smart phone.
4. No info on this.

Did you check the User's Manual, page 13 shows the hardware connection to make the module into AT mode and you send command from computer to configure/change the parameter such as baudrate, channel, operation mode, etc.

Hi MrOber, thanks for the explanation. Now i know how already. We have to send the command through serial monitor. :P :P :P
At first i was scratching my brain because the manual only have the AT command and the circuit configuration. I think too much! :D
