anyone can help in selecting SPG30E dc motor?
which must consider high torque or high rpm? (in balancing robot context)
confused to make decision.

High speed and moderate torque is good as we want to make it stable, not to stand the robot up from laying position. Yet, it still depends on other factors, such as the weight of the robot, center of gravity, wheel size, etc.

Suggestion: SPG50-20K

Balancing does not necessary need encoder, but of course encoder will help a lot. Sure, you can try the SPG30E.

we have port the Kalman filter into PIC18F before, never try PIC16F before, but I believe it can be done.

is it have different if using 3x 3.7V 1100mAh Li-Ion Battery and LiPo Rechargeable Battery 11.1V 2200mAH
in term of speed or torque?
seems 20k 185rpm not enough in balancing if using 3x 3.7V 1100mAh Li-Ion Battery
