Adding regulated 5V to the Maker Uno

Postby lowfuyuan » Tue Apr 03, 2018 7:26 am

Dear admin,
I am undergoing my personal project where I want to use the 5V output from the LN298N Motor Driver Module to the Maker Uno.
Can I know a way to use this power supply to the Maker Uno as I don't see a Vin?
I have also tried plugging the voltage to the 5V pin but it doesn't work.

Hi lowfuyuan,

Yes you can use regulated 5V from L298N Dual H Bridge Motor/Stepper Driver to power up your Maker UNO. Just connect 5V & GND from driver to 5V & GND pin at Maker UNO. I also do the same connection at my Maker UNO Bluetooth Mobile Robot.

P/s: Make sure the mini jumper (black) at the back of Vin-GND connector is connected.

Thanks.

Thanks Idris.
I have tried it before but it wasn't working at first. But now it's working already!
