It's hard to learn the interfacing. As I know, sometimes it's different interfacing between different model. Also it's hard to find the reference maybe because Nokia company not given that for hobbyist.

There is no easy way to connect a handphone to the PIC. You have to do a lot of hacking on the phone in order to succeed. You'll understand what I meant if you refer to the discussion here:

An easier way is to use a GSM Modem.

From the Cytron Modem, the user manual said:

B. Dial call or receive call (Modem doesn’t provide voice port even with relevant
command)
1. Dial call ATDxxxxxxxxx; (xxxxxxxxx is phone number,example:ATD1860;)
2. Call waiting function:AT+CCWA
3. Hold function:AT+CHLD=?
4. Dial latest call number:AT+CLCC=?
5. Enter information once connection established(DTMF):AT+VTS=(0-9,#,*,A-Z)

As for the TC35 modem, voice port is provided but you have to add the MIC and RECEIVER yourself. Did you download the datasheet from the ebay site that I gave you? Lots of info is there on the datasheet... There are software examples for 8051, AVR and VB too.

Yes, it is possible. Need to program the 877A, if receive the signal then call somebody. There have a lot of GSM project and sample code. Actually what kind of project you want to do?

hello,

I'm going to do the wireless smoke detector with some modify~

START-->sensors detected-->encoder-->Tx-->Rx-->decoder-->PIC-->LCD & CALL;
im thinking that to use 3 sensors in 3 rooms respectively, and 3 encoders & decoders to a PIC.
The PIC will connect to a LCD. When 1 of sensor detected, the LCD will shows which room detected~
At the same time, it can be call and inform the person in charge.

Well, as ur experiences, i need ur comment~
first at all, im not familiar with pic program~
maybe i'm confusing with the connection between decoder to pic and the connection between pic to phone call system~

thanks!
