UIC00B programmer issue

Postby ichaelm » Thu Jan 05, 2012 8:54 am

I've had this PIC programmer for months and it worked fine, until today. Now, whenever I plug it into a USB port, the green light is solid and the red light blinks on and off slowly. This happens no matter if I plug it into a computer with proper software, or just a USB power cord. It also happens whether or not the PIC chip is plugged in. It must be a problem with the unit itself. There is no visible damage. The software I use, "pk2cmd" for linux, reports a voltage-related error when I try to use it. Any ideas? Thanks a ton for any help!

It seems like the UIC00B is faulty. You can claim the warranty by filling up the Technical Support form in http://www.cytron.com.my/support.php

there are 5 holes below the PIC and on the right of the 3 LED. Could that be the ICSP for the PIC in the UIC00B?
