Operating system of UIC00B

Hey guys, recently I am not sure I press wrong what in the pickit2 software and now causing me to have a blink in the busy indicator light(RED light) when I plug in the UCI00B into my ladtop..and when I check for communication, it stated there pickit2 do not have operating system, go to tool and download the OS..so how can I donwload ?

Run PICkit 2 Programmer software - connect UIC00B to your computer - goto Tools - click Download PICkit 2 Operating System.

But then it pop up to my files/documents ask me to choose the OS..but I do not have..so how ?

The OS file should be in your c:\Program Files\microchip\PK2 directory if you installed it normally.

The file name is "PK2V023200.hex".

If it is not there you can download from microchip website here:

http://www.microchip.com/stellent/idcpl ... ts=pickit2

Filename is Pickit 2 firmware V2.32

If I download from cytron website then made it be .hex file then put inside also can right ?

Why need to download from Cytron website? The file pointed by Allen is under PICkit 2 programmer folder, you surely will have it on your computer, else you will not be able to download the OS

I do not know last time..but then I downloaded the OS from cytron then change it to .hex file then put into my UIC00B

Didnt check the OS file in Cytron. But if it works then it's OK, if it doesnt work, it wont kill your PIC anyway.

Hi..i have program my coding into my pic(pic16f877a) using pickit2. when i want to write, it stated that "if you continue, it will difficult to program or erase properly". And i continue..my program was success. But later on, when i want to program a new coding with blank check first, it pop-up again and stated "Program memory is not blanking starting at address 0x000200".

What is the problem? How i can solve it? Thanks..
