PIC Modbus Controller

Postby shahrul » Wed Mar 28, 2012 11:07 pm

Hi,
I want to develop PIC Board with Modbus controller, using PIC16F887. Modbus just use RS485, with 3 PIC pin (TX, RX and Control). So, many I/O left. Any one have idea, what port should I put in this board?

It's also like PLC. I think it's normal with Digital Input, Digital Output and Analog Input. But, I want consider maybe to put keypad and SPI/I2C. So, anyone have experience use modbus or PLC at industry?
